Who we are

Our roots go back to Texas farming and ranching since the early 1900s. We grew up working the land and learning firsthand the value of responsibility and follow-through. Over time, that work ethic expanded into engineering, design and construction. We carry degrees in mechanical and civil engineering from Texas Tech University and Angelo State University. Along the way, we have built strong relationships across the engineering, industrial and agricultural sectors, developing a network of trusted professionals that span multiple states. We come from a family grounded in both ranching and engineering, and we bring that combined experience and connection to every project. We are proud of where we come from and committed to doing honest, solid work for the people we serve.

  • Zane McMahon

    FOUNDER

    Raised on a West Texas farm and ranch, Zane combines practical field experience with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a diverse industrial background. His experience includes radiation detection systems, industrial boiler and piping design, structural engineering support, and actively managing industrial projects totaling $100 million. Through Covered M, he applies this unique blend of agricultural knowledge, engineering expertise, and project management experience to help clients successfully plan, manage, and deliver projects across multiple industries.

    FOUNDER

    Growing up in South Texas, Jayson began working on farm equipment at a young age, spurring his mechanical curiosity and drive to earn a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. With a background in engineering project management, industrial automation, and solar system design, Jayson specializes in delivering practical, code-compliant engineering solutions that help clients move confidently from concept to construction. His commitment to quality, communication, and technical excellence ensures every project designed by Covered M achieves long-term success.
